Mrs. Kenneth (Dimple) Rathburn, 70, of route 1, Wilson Road, Custer, died Friday morning at Oakview Medical Care Facility where she had been a patient for 11 weeks.


Dimple May Pahl was born May 4, 1907, in Grand traverse County. She had been a resident of Custer Township for the past 46 years. She was married Nov. 12, 1927 to Kenneth Rathburn who survives. She was a member of the Brighten the Corner Club for many years.


Surviving, in addition to her husband, are four daughters, Mrs. Donna DePeel of Ludington, Mrs. James (Irma) Walker of Whitehall, Mrs. James (Goldie) McIntosh of Custer, and Mrs. Paul (Rita) Leifker of Harrietta; four sons, Frederick and Harold, both of Detroit, Paul of Scottville and Larry of Ludington; 25 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Ernestene Burkholder of Florida and Mrs. Crystal Stine of Kingsley; three brothers, Russell Pahl of Jackson, Clarence Pahl of Gobles and Gene Pahl of Comstock Park.


She was preceded in death by her parents.


The funeral for Mrs. Rathburn will be held at 3:30 p.m. Monday at the Stephens Funeral Chapel with the Rev. John Christensen officiating. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery in Custer.


The family will be at the chapel from 1 to 3 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday to receive friends.


Contributions in Mrs. Rathburn's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society with envelopes available at the funeral chapel.
