Judith Ivie - 5/10/06

Judith Ivie, 66, of Corsicana passed away Monday, May 8, 2006, in Waco.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home.

Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. B.F. Risinger Jr. and Dr. David Edwards officiating. Interment will follow at Younger Cemetery.

Mrs. Ivie was born May 30, 1939, in Pryor, Okla., to Clarence Elmer and Eva Newcomb Dial. She was a member of First Baptist Church. She was a medical transcriptionist.

She was preceded in death by her parents; foster parents, William D. and Novie Meade; brother, C.W. Dial; and sister, Patti Wilcox.

Survivors include her husband, James R. Ivie of Corsicana; son, James R. Ivie II of Phoenix, Ariz.; daughters, Jamie Ivie of Corsicana and Juli Ivie of Waco; brother, David Lee Dial of Tulsa, Okla.; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lahoma and Gene Kessler of Milton, Pa., and Carol and Gary Dickson of Grapevine; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Music Ministry, 510 W. Collin St., Corsicana, TX 75110; or to Curtis Patterson Memorial Kidney Fund, 1321 W. Second Ave., Corsicana, TX 75110.
