CHESSHER, Rhett, 67, of Dade City, went home to be with the Lord June 13, 2008. She came to this area in 1947 from Baker, Florida. She was a beautician by trade and was employed at Merv's Barber Shop. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Alma Williams Chessher; two sisters, Wilma Gosnell and Mary Chessher; and one son, Fred Rodgers Armstrong Jr. She is survived by five daughters, Debra Collins, Dade City, Rita Crews, Lakeland, Loretta Mazol, Orlando, Vera Wiggins and Sara McDonald, Lake City; four sons, Allen Hart, Dade City, Willie and Philip Rodriguez, and John Anderson, all of Lake City; four brothers, John, Joe and J.B. Chessher, all of Lacoochee, and Void Chessher, Sanford; five sisters, Maggie Chessher, Lacoochee, Maxie McClamma and Mollie Head, both of Bushnell, Tish Briggs, Zephyrhills, and Faye Hobbs, Dade City; 20 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will take place at 10 a.m. Friday, June 20, 2008, at HeartCenter Church of God in Lacoochee. She will be laid to rest at Richland Baptist Church Cemetery.
