Mabel Arlene Lamm, 82, who was born on a ranch northeast of Moffat, Colo. on Oct. 19, 1924 passed away on Sat., Sept. 15, 2007 at the home of her daughter.

Mable is survived by her son Les Lamm of Moffat; daughters Shirley (Mike) Compton of Delta, Colo. and Janet Wolfe of Moffat; grandchildren Angela Arndt of Moffat, Kevin Arndt of Gunnison, Colo., Crystal (Ryan) Dickerson of Montrose, Colo., Shane (Marisa) Compton of Calif. and Steve Kimball of Gunnison; 7 great-grandchildren; one sister Mildred Kirk of Ariz.; one brother Everett (Wilma) Bunker of N.M.,and one sister in law along with many nieces and nephews.

She married Henry R. Lamm on April 25, 1942 in Albuquerque, NM, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 30, 2006.

She was also preceded in death by her parents Sam and Emma Bunker, daughter Lora Yates, two sisters, Edna Deel, and Hazel Schlupe, three brothers, Charles Bunker, Earl Bunker and Orval Bunker. Mable will be missed by her family and friends.

Mable was a housewife and homemaker, school bus driver, cook at the Baca Grande, Moffat schools, and Monte Vista Livestock but will always be remembered making those melt in your mouth cinnamon rolls at the Wagon Wheel Café in Moffat. She was always working in the hay fields, her flower garden, going fishing, rock hunting, to Cripple Creek, painting crafts or just visiting with friends. Mable never knew a stranger and helped anyone that she could.

Mable requested cremation, no flowers or public service. The family will bury her ashes next to her husband and daughter at the Crestone Cemetery.

Contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. Arrangements are in care of Rogers Family Mortuary of Alamosa, Colo.
