UPLAND - Miriam P. Copeland, 99, of Upland died April 30, 2003, at Christian Heritage Care Center in Upland. She was born Sept. 19, 1903, in Inglewood and was an Upland resident for the past 97 years. She was a homemaker. She graduated from Chaffey High School and attended nurses training at Los Angeles County Hospital. She was an active Church member, attending Temple Baptist Church in Ontario, Foothill Bapti st Church in Upland and Rock of Life Community Church, Montclair. Mrs. Copeland is survived by her two sons, Robert (Sylvia) Copeland of Fontana, Marvin (Nancy) Copeland of Burlingame, four grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vanda A. Copeland. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 6 at Bellevue Mausoleum Chapel. Entombment will follow in Bellevue Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Rock of Life Community Church, 9720 Central Ave., Montclair, CA 91763. Draper Mortuary is handling arrangements.
