Alberta Vincent was born on July 7, 1916 in West Branch, Iowa, the daughter of Otto and Margie (Trimble) Vincent. Alberta was united in marriage to Roger Stahle on April 9, 1939 in West Branch. During World War II, Alberta worked at Pratt Whitney in Hartford, Connecticut, assembling airplane parts and then operated the grocery store in Lone Tree with her husband, Roger. After Roger began a new job, Alberta became a homemaker. She was a past member of the Methodist Church in Lone Tree where she was a Sunday School Teacher and a wedding coordinator. Alberta was currently a member of the First United Methodist Church in Iowa City, Lone Tree American Legion Auxiliary and the Search Light Club. Alberta enjoyed gardening and cooking and was an avid Bridge player.

Alberta will be dearly missed by her son, Jim Stahle and his wife, Lisa of Pueblo, Colorado; four grandchildren, Lucas, Lee Ann, Sara and Sean; and two great grandchildren, Miya and Paige.

Alberta was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roger Stahle; one son, Roger Stahle II; and two brothers, Glenn Vincent and Roy Vincent.
