9 July 1969: Sarah M. Witmer, 76, wife of Samuel E. Witmer, Hershey RD 1, died Tuesday in the Camp-A-While Guest Home, Campbelltown. A native of Lancaster, she was a daughter of the late William and Leah Bricker Barley. She was a member of Shenk's United Christian Church, Hershey, and the Ladies Bible Class of the Sunday School. Survivors include her husband, and five daughters: Miss Mabel E. Witmer, at home: Mrs. Clarence Bless, Del City, Okla.; Mrs. Carl Daub, White Hall, Mrs. Mildred Rearick, Palmyra, and Mrs. Eugene Murray, New Cumberland. Four sons, Bruce M., Harrisburg, Ore., Wayne R., Palmyra RD 2, Elvin W., Hershey RD 1 and Glenn S., Palmyra; three sisters, Mrs. Alice Groy, Hershey, Mrs. Russell Barber, Cathedral City, Calif., and Mrs. Nathan May, Palmyra RD 2, and 23 grandchildren.
