Hilda M. Clawser, 87, of Upper Allen Twp., Mechanicsburg, passed away Friday, October 6, 2006 at the Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill. She was born July 31, 1919 in Campbelltown, PA the daughter of the late Amos L. and Mary E. (Corl) Barto. Hilda was the widow of Robert E. Clawser, Sr. She was employed for many years with Ashcombe Farms in Mechanicsburg. Hilda was a member of Mt. Pleasant Church of God, Dillsburg and was a graduate of Hershey High School, Class of 1937. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and working at Ashcombes. Hilda is survived by 3 sons, Robert E. Clawser, Jr. of Mechanicsburg, James E. Clawser of Harrisburg, Pastor John W. Clawser and his wife Rose of Kinta, OK; 1 daughter, Patricia A. Hanshaw and her husband Richard, Sr. of Mechanicsburg; 1 sister, Arlene M. Vargas of Dover, DE. She also leaves behind 4 grandchildren, Pastor Richard R. Hanshaw, Jr., Rhonda R. Hanshaw, Katie M. Davison and her husband Jerry, Karen Clawser and 4 greatgrandchildren, Tori, Tayler, Tannah, and Elias. Services will be held Tuesday, October 10, 2006 at 11:30 AM in her church, 146 S. York Rd., Dillsburg, PA with a viewing from 911:30 AM prior to the service. Burial will be held at 3:30 PM in the United Christian Cemetery, Campbelltown. Memorial contributions may be made to her church, 146 S. York Rd., Dillsburg, PA 17019 or the Hospice of Central PA, 98 S. Enola Dr., P.O. Box 266, Enola, PA 17025-0266.
