She was a hearing instrument disperser with Bellton in Brandenburg, and active election poll worker in Meade Co. for many years and involved in Politics, worked in public education for the Kidney Foundation in Meade Co. and sought a local Kidney Foundation dialysis center.
Mrs. Atwell is survived by her husband, Cory S. Atwell; her father, Barney Allen, Wolf Creek, 3 sisters, Barnetta Gayle Conroy, Louisville, Kathy Stanton, Birmingham, Ala, and Vickey Carter, Battletown, and 3 brothers, Bernie, Patrick and Kent Allen all of Battletown.
Funeral services were held Feb 26 from the chapel of Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home with Rev. Roy Padgett Jr. officiating. Burial was in Parr-Frans Cemetery.'
