That same year Willis began a 35-year career with the First National Bank of Arizona. He retired in 1976 as a Senior Vice-President of the bank. They then moved to Prescott, where they lived until they returned to the Valley in 1982. In Prescott, Willis was the President of The Mountain Club. He was a past President of the Camelback Kiwanis Club. On the day before Willis died, he went to his weekly Kiwanis meeting, just as he had for the previous 50 years. In 1958, Willis graduated from the Pacific Coast School of Banking, at the University of Washington, in Seattle. He was a past officer of the Arizona Bankers Association, and a past Secretary of the American Bankers Association.
