James Glen Allen, 81, Nampa, died unexpectedly Thursday at his home. Mr. Allen was born April 30, 1890, at Sutherland, Neb., and was reared in Nebraska. He married Sylvia Standridge May 7, 1947, at Costa Mesa, Calif. They lived in the Lakeview community, south of Nampa, from 1947 to 1956, when they moved to California. They returned to Nampa from Oroville, Calif., about a year ago. He was a retired farmer.
Surviving in addition to Mrs. Allen are two daughters, Mrs. Josephine Andre of Fleming, Colo., Mrs. Aletha Jessee of Sacramento, Calif.; a step-son, Sammy Standridge of Monclair, Calif.; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Betty Hindman of Oroville, Mrs. Lenore Secrest of La Habra, Calif., Mrs. Dean Buzzard of Nampa; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Wilkinson of Costa Mesa and Mrs. Cora Ditto of Ogallala, Neb., and a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter.
