Mrs. Ann E. Curran, age 85, formerly of Wilmington Manor, New Castle, DE, died on Sunday, January 28, 2007, at the Methodist Country House, Wilmington.
Mrs. Curran was born in Carneys Point, NJ, on May 2, 1921, daughter of the late William F. Smith and Susan McDermott Smith. A talented homemaker, she devoted her life to caring for her family. Her greatest joy was time spent with her beloved children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard F. Curran, Sr., in 1998; and a daughter, Colleen D. Curran, in 1971. She is survived by 4 children, Bernard F. Curran, Jr., of New Castle, Susan F. Curran, of Bear, Carol A. Krueck (Richard), of Newark and Dennis G. Curran (Danuta), of Wilmington; her sister, Susan Coefield, of New Castle; 9 grandchildren, Jeff, Greg, Steve, Stephanie, Laurie, Brian, Andrew, Melanie and Linda; and 10 great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Methodist Country House, 4830 Kennett Pike, Wilmington, DE 19807.
