PRESCOTT--Funeral services for Asael and Ruth Despain, who died Sunday in an auto accident in Phoenix in an auto accident in Phoenix, will be at 10 a.m. tomorrow in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Prescott. Burial wil be in the Oddfellows Cemetery, Prescott.
Visitors may call at the Memory Chapel, Prescott from 5 to 8 p.m. today. Mr. Despain was a lifetime meber of the LDS Mesa Alma Ward and branch president at Bagdad Mine for 18 years and later a tone mason. He helped build the LDS Chapel at Bagdad and the Chino Valley Chapel and the Marina Street Chapel in Prescott.
Mrs. Despain was postmaster at Bagdad for 18 years, a practical nurse at the Harris Maternity Home in Phoenix for three years. She served in the Women's Army Auxiliary Corps (WAAC) during World War II.
She was a lifetime member of the LDS Mesa Alma Ward and a temple worker at Mesa.
They are survived by three sons, Sidney Despain, Bagdad; Robert, Salt Lake City; Carroll, Boise, Idaho and three daughters, Mrs. Marian Shelley, Joseph City; Mrs. Betty Scott, El Cajon, California and Mrs. Louise Hervey, Prescott; 30 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edgar P. Duncan, Atlanta and one brother and three sisters out of state.
He is also survived by three brothers and five sisters, all out of state.
