Leona married Charles Henry West in San Antonio, Texas on Dec. 24, 1932. Together they had three children.
At the time of her death the boys were 2 yrs. 9 mos., 4 yrs.,and their daughter, Barbara Ann "Bobbie", was only seventeen months old.
The two sons were rised by their father and Bobbie was raised by Leona's parents.
Leona had been living in Port Arthur when she became ill, and was brought to the Luling hospital four weeks before her death. She was only 28 years old.
