Ada Bernice Fleenor, 87, of Johnson City, Tennessee, died Thursday, May 29, 2008 at her Life Care Nursing Home in Greeneville, Tennessee. She was born in Bristol, Virginia to the late George Mosby and Ida Bell Pettijohn Fleenor and was the widow of Jennings Walter Fleenor. Mrs. Fleenor had lived in Johnson City for over 50 years. Survivors include her nephews, Lloyd Fleenor, Jr. and his wife Sallie of Chuckey, Tennessee, Roland Edmonds and his wife Debbie of Scooba, Mississippi, Ronnie Whicker of Bristol, Virginia; and niece, Sherylann Ziolkowski and her husband John of Beckly, West, Virginia; and grand nephews, Erik and Jon Fleenor both of Chuckey, Tennessee. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Beulah Edmonds and Belle Whicker, and brother, Lloyd F. Fleenor, Sr. The family will receive friends from 6 o?clock until 7:45 Saturday evening, May 31, 2008 at Oakley-Cook Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 8 o?clock with Rev. Lora Rasor officiating. The committal and interment will be held at 2 o?clock Sunday afternoon, June 1, 2008 in Tri-Cities Memory Gardens. Honorary pallbearers will be Ray Hicks, James Harmon, Glenn Smith, Donald Durham and Rapheal Martin. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the American Heart Association, 208 Sunset Drive, Johnson City, TN 37604 and Piney Flats United Methodist Church, 225 Methodist Church, Piney Flats, Tennessee 37686.
