Bernice B. Cannafax, age 91 of Berryville Arkansas passed away on June 10, 2008 in The Maples Long Term Care facility in Springdale, Arkansas after a short illness of Congestive Heart Failure. She was born January 21, 1917 in San Gabriel, California to Erwin and Cora (Dunham) Fry. She married Neff Cannafax December 25, 1945 in Alhambra, California but then moved to Berryville shortly thereafter to spend her next 60+ years. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and will be greatly missed. She was a long time dedicated member of the Church of the Nazarene. She retired in 1985 after 25 years with Kraft Foods. She is survived by her daughters Louise Brooks and husband, Larry of Berryville, Lorene Cannafax of Plano, Texas and son Leonard Cannafax and wife, Everta of Springdale; grandchildren Michelle Leising and husband, Wayne of Columbus, Georgia, Robyn Capps and husband, Josh of Berryville, and Amy Goolsby of Springdale; great-grandson Benjamin Goolsby of Springdale; devoted and loving friends Don and Ellie Ham, Mary Louise Chittenden, and Sharold Rousey all of Berryville; numerous other loving relatives and family friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sisters, Hazel Danielson and Charlotte Shetler, and her loving companion dog, Guy.

Services will be held, Monday, June 16, 2008 at 11 am at the Nelson Funeral Chapel in Berryville and immediately following she will be laid to rest beside her husband in the Snow Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Sunday evening, June 15, 2008 from 5 to 8 pm at the Nelson Funeral Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Cannafax Memorial Fund at Church of the Nazarene, 204 Trinnen Lane, Berryville, Arkansas, 72616. Or, memorial donations may be made in her name to the Circle of Life Hospice House, in Springdale, Arkansas at
