George King was the fifth child of John and Anne KING.

He married Eve Moyer on April 25, 1816 in Perry County, Ohio. She died in 1819.

Then he married Catherine Myers on February 2 1820.

They had 10 children: Peter, John, David, Henry, Sarah Ellen, Eva, Lydia, Adam, George, and Catheine King.

David, Henry, Adam and George, sons of George Sr. and Catherine Myers, migrated to Wells County, Indiana, after her husband died.

Aged 74y 27dGeorge King was the fifth child of John C. and Anne (Baum) King, born in 1789, most likely in the state of Virginia. He married Eve Moyer on April 25,1816 in Perry County, Ohio. She died a short three years later in 1819 and was buried in the New Lebanon Cemetery near Junction City, Perry County, Ohio.

George them married Catherine Moyer on February 2 1820. George died September 28, 1862 and is buried in the Reformed Church Cemetery, Stoutsville, Ohio with several of his small children.

Catherine Moyer King went to Indiana after her husband's death and made her home with a daughter, Lydia King Mowery. Catherine died Feb 28, 1871 and is buried on the David King lot in Stahl Cemetery, one mile south and 1/2 mile west of Reiffsburg, Indiana.

They had 10 children: Peter, John, David, Henry, Sarah Ellen, Eva, Lydia, Adam, George, and Catheine King. David, Henry, Adam and George, sons of George Sr. and Catherine Moyers, migrated to Wells County, Indiana.


From State of Ohio - Adjutant General's Department: To Whom it May Concern: The records in this office indicate that one George King served in active military service in the Ohio Militia during the War of 1812. He was a Private in Captain John Jackson's Company, which was from Ross County, Ohio. His records show that he served from July 28, until August 15, 1813. -----Sylvester T.
