Union Civil War Veteran Soldier. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, he volunteered to serve in the Union Army during the Civil War. White enlisted with the 39th Ohio Volunteer Infantry and was mustered into Company D as a Musician. He was later promoted to Sergeant Major. After the war, he returned to Cincinnati and died at his residence in Mount Auburn in 1896 when he was 50 years old.
