Dr. Nathan L. Rice died at 7:15 this morning at his home on west Third street of cancer, after an illness of about five months. He was 67 years old and a veteran of the Civil war. He was graduated in 1880 from the Indiana Medical College at Indianapolis, and previous to locating in this city twelve years ago, practiced at Clear Creek.

He was united in marriage in 1861 and his wife and the following children are living: Gus Marion and Roy Rice. Dr. Rice was a faithful member of the Morton Street Church of Christ. The funeral will be held at the Chruch Friday at 10:30 in charge of Elder H. H. Contributor: Deborah Blair (47090463)

Dr. Nathan L. Rice has sold his property on East Eight street to Dr. U. G. Galloway of Ellettsville. Dr. Rice has purchased the Harris stock of drugs at Ellettsville and his son will conduct the business. Charles Steele, made the trade for the contracting parties.

Know all persons by this my last will or testament that I, Nathan L. Rice of Bloomington, Indiana, do set forth my will in (missing) after my death my wife, Nancy E. (Rice), is to have my house and lot on West Third (Street), No. 516 lot 71 and 72 during her lifetime or while she remains my widow. Should she marry another man then she is to forfeit all the rights and titles to any of my property and it shall go to my three sons: Alfred A. Rice, Joseph M. Rice and Roy H. Rice. And one hundred dollars to the two daughters of B. F. Rice, now deceased, namely Bessie L. Rice, fifty dollars, and Nella C. Rice, fifty dollars each.

I have given to each of my four sons the amount named: to B. F. Rice,
$331.00; to Alfred A. Rice, $356.50; to Joseph M. Rice, $445.90; Roy H. Rice $252.40; to April 13, 1906. They are all to be made equal after the death of myself and wife. If either of my sons should go to law or cause any lawsuit over my estate, that son shall be debarred from any part of my property further than he has received already. My wife is to have $200.00 in money besides the funeral expenses are paid.

Dr. N. L. Rice, aged 67, died in this city last Wednesday. He formerly lived in Ellettsville and was highly esteemed as a veteran soldier and an honorable citizen.
