Martha, his wife of many years, died Feb 20, 1881 and was buried at Riverside Cemetery, Albany, Linn County, Oregon. James remarried on Aug 10, 1882 to a widow, Louesa Matilda (Burkhart) Thompson. She would outlive James, as she did not die until 1907; James died June 12th, 1888 and was buried next to his 1st wife, Martha, at Riverside Cemetery in Albany. [When Louesa Matilda (Burkhart) Thompson, Foster died in 1907, she was buried next to her 1st husband, David Thompson, under the name of Foster.] May they all Rest in Peace in Paradise.
