PORTSMOUTH - Joseph Lawrence Allsbrook Sr., 88, passed away April 11, 2008. He was a native of Portsmouth and was a son of the late Joseph and Lena Allsbrook. He was a U.S. Army World War II veteran and retired as a shop supervisor shipfitter at Norfolk Naval Shipyard. He is survived by his brother, Linwood Allsbrook of Louisville, Ky.; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, Tuesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
