Obituary.
Sister Rachel Talbot died at her home in El Reno, Canadian county, Oklahoma, August 2, 1894. She was the wife of Brothers S. Talbot. She was born in Virginia, December 27, 1836. Professed faith in Christ at the age of thirteen and united with the M.E. church at the age of nineteen. She was baptized into the fellowship of the Baptist church and remained a member until her death. She died as she had lived in the full triumph of a living faith. She was a faithful, devoted wife, a loving mother and a kind friend to all. She leaves four sons, and four daughters, with a host of friends, and a loving husband to mourn her loss. May God comfort them in their sad time of life. The writer conducted funeral services at the home in the presence of all of her children and a large gathering of people, after which a large procession followed the remains to the cemetery, where she was quietly laid to rest to await the resurrection morn.
