Mr. A. S. Gaddy died at his hoe in this township last Thursday night about 11 o'clock after a lingering illness of several years. He was about 70 years of age and is survived by nine children, five sons and four daughters. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. A. Marsh and Rev. J. L. Bennett Friday afternoon at the Baptist church here, of which he was a member, and the remains were interred in the Marshville cemetery.
