"Mrs. Amanda Lawhead--The funeral of Mrs. Amanda Lawhead, who died at her home in Englewood yesterday afternoon, will take place Wednesday at 2 o'clock, and will be conducted by Rev. W.H. Selleck, of the M.E. church. The interment will be at the Lee Mission cemetery. Mrs. Lawhead came here two years ago from Pennsylvania. She died from pneumonia, and was 46 years old. She has been a member of the Methodist church for many years. Besides her husband, Newton Lawhead, she leaves six children: Mrs. Millie Post, of Pennsylvania; Mrs. Maymie Giggie and Ernest, Robert, Carrie and Ermina Lawhead, all of Salem." CJ Jan 20, 1906 8:5
