While busily engaged with her household duties about 5 last night, Mrs. Hannah Williams, wife of Lewis Williams, died suddenly at her home, 79 Paterson street. Her health had not been good for some time past but her family had no idea that the end was so near and so her death was all the more a severe shock to her husband, children and friends.

Mrs. Williams was engaged in preparing the evening meal when she was stricken and expired before medical assistance could be obtained. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Witherell of North Lawrence, in which town she was born 57 years ago. Mrs. Williams was greatly respected for her splendid traits of character and had many friends in this city where she had resided for a number of years. She was a devout communicant of St. John's church and an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Surviving his her husband, two sons, Arthur of Alburg and Edgar of New ork, and two daughters, Mrs. Florence Hager of South Hadley, Mass., and Miss Ruth of this city.
