BROWNSTOWN BANNER. Wednesday, 18 January 1911, Brownstown, IN (p. 1)

MAY–Mrs. Elizabeth May died at her home in Seymour Saturday, January 14, 1911, aged 86 years, 1 month, and 29 days. About two months ago she fell and fractured her hip and on account of her advanced age the injury developed into other complications which caused her death.

Deceased was born in Ohio in 1824. When quite young the family moved near Tampico, Jackson County, where she resided until about fourteen years ago when she moved to Seymour. She was united in marriage to Peter Morgan in 1845, who preceded her to the grave in 1854. To their union were born five children of who two daughters and one son, viz: Mrs. Loretta Compton, Mrs. Mary Johnson and John Morgan, all of Seymour, survive her. She was again united in marriage to Ruben May in 1858, who died in 1891.

Besides her children she leaves one sister, Mrs. Margaret Luster, and one brother, Andy Ross, both of Seymour. The funeral services were conducted at her late home Tuesday morning at ten o'clock and the remains were interred in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
