Mrs. Doom was born in rural Elkhart, IL on August 29, 1919, the daughter of Simon and Flora Farley Priddy. She married Lyle Doom on December 4, 1939 in Missouri. He preceded her in death October 2, 2003.
She was a member of Lincoln Christian Church and she was a Sunday School Teacher for 25 years. She was a homemaker.
Surviving Mrs. Doom are 2 daughters, Diane (Tim) Ingalsbe, Cantrall, IL, Elaine (Roy) Logsdon, Cincinnati, IA; 2 sons, Robert (Sharon) Doom, Glendale, AZ, David (Linda) Doom, Springfield, IL; 15 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. She is the last of her immediate family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 brothers, Carl and Lawrence Priddy and 1 sister, Ruby Turner.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, June 6, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln with Ken Gennicks officiating.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 5, 2008 from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Springfield.
