The State Journal-Register, (Springfield, IL) July 21, 2000 > Lodi, Wis.- Clifton "Joe" Allsup, age 80, of Lodi, Wis., formerly of Stonington and Taylorville, died Sunday July 23, 2000, at Lodi Nursing Home. He was born August 18, 1919, in Cambria, the son of William Harrison and Verna Logan Crittenden Allsup. He married Edna Mae McGowan, and she preceded him in death. Mr. Allsup was employed as a machine operator with Borg-Warner Automotive. He was a member of Joy Assembly of God Church in Stonington and was an Army veteran. Survivors are two sons, Joe Scott Allsup of Horicon, Wis., and Larry Dale Allsup of Herrin; a daughter, Jacki Wicks Watson of Taylorville; nine grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. today at Joy Assembly of God Church in Stonington, with Rev. Richard Wattlet officiating. Burial is in Glenhaven Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Taylorville.
