There is not a lot of information available on the Hubbells. Unfortunately they both died during a period when the Florence newspaper is not available on microfilm, so their obituaries were not found.

Harry Clay Hubbell was said to have been born on 25 November 1855 in Cincinnati, Ohio, to William Henry Harrison Hubbell and Catharine Baumann. The Hubbell family traces its ancestry back to colonial New England. Related to Harry Hubbell, though distantly, was Tabitha (Hubbell) Ross, also buried in the Glenada Cemetery.

Harry was married about 1884 in Salt Lake City to Volice Viola Burton. According to her death certificate Volice was born on 7 May 1863 in Salt Lake City, to Robert Burton and Elizabeth Marriott, both originally of England.

At some point after 1920 (they are not found in that census in the Florence area), the Hubbells moved to Glenada. Volice died first, on 1 January 1927 in Glenada, followed by Harry on 9 May 1928 in Sutherlin, Douglas County, Oregon. Their grave in the eastern section of the cemetery is marked by a single stone, with both their names inscribed. The grave lot was donated by George Colter when Volice died.
