Elford F. Campbell (Uncle F.) Campbell, 83, died at his home on Pelham Street in Greer today following a ten-day illness.

Surviving is one daughter, Mrs. Maggie Phillips, Greer; two sons, Tom and Furham Campbell, Landrum and Noble Campbell, Greenville; 42 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren.

His wife was Mrs. Leona Newman Campbell who died 16 years ago.

He was the son of the late John A. and Nancy Williams Campbell. He was born and reared in Gowansville section and moved to Greer 25 years ago.

Funeral rites will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. from the Gowansville Baptist church with Rev. T. E. Reid and Rev. V.R. Nichols in charge.

Interment will be in the church cemetery.
