Charles was the 4th of six children of Solomon M. McGuire and his first wife, Mahola Cambron.
He was born in Alabama and died in Limestone Co., TX. My Aunt Faye Lewis Trowbridge said: "My maternal grandparents were Charlie McGuire and Virginia Newberry Kilgore. Our McGuire genealogy shows that Grandpa's family came from Scotland and settled in Atlanta, Georgia, where they supposedly laid the first cornerstone of the city. My grandmother's family were obviously Scots with a name like Kilgore."
Charles was married four times (1) Virginia Newberry Kilgore, (2) Margaret Davidson, (3) Adar Shaffer and (4) Mary (Molly) C. Hunter. He had a total of 12 children.
