Sikeston - Virtie May Davis, 94 years old, of St. Louis, formerly of Sikeston, died Saturday at the Delmar Gardens West Nursing Home in St. Louis.
She was born Mar. 25, 1899, at Thayer, Mo., the daughter of W.G. and Susie M. Stubbs Webber.
She was married to John T. Davis, Oct. 15, 1916. He died Oct. 31, 1952.
She had worked for several years in the Missouri License Bureau office in St. Louis, and was also a homemaker.
She was a member of the Church of Christ in St. Louis.
Survivors include four daughters, Daveen Alexander, Gerry Birkel, Carmen Cervantes and Norma Crawford; 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers and eight sisters.
Funeral service will be held today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel.
Burial will follow in the Sikeston City Cemetery.
