Larry died October 11, 1995 doing what he loved to do - fishing. Larry was fising alone at Beaver Lake near Springdale, AR when he died. The coroner surmised that he was thrown from the boat when it hit a submerged log or stump and the propeller cut his chest over the heart. The coroner believes that Larry died instantly. He didn't drown as there was no water in his lungs. Rita Faye said that when Larry saw on the news that someone had died while fishing, he'd say that that's the way he wanted to go - by doing what he loves to do. He did.
