Velma Ada Dilday, 93, of Anderson, Mo., died Thursday, June 12, 2003, at 11:35 p.m. at McDonald County Beverly Health and Rehab Center in Anderson, Mo., after an illness. Velma Dilday was born Sept. 12, 1909, in Arkansas to the late Charles and Mary Beaver. She lived in Anderson, Mo., since 1964, coming from Grass Valley, Calif. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dolph Dilday and a son, Phil Dilday. She is survived by a son, Max Dilday of Phoenix, Ariz.; a daughter, Daphne Taylor of Gentry, Ark.; numerous grandchildren; and great-grandchildren. Graveside services for Velma Dilday will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 17, 2003, at the Burnt School House Cemetery in Norfolk, Ark. Funeral services were held Saturday, June 14, 2003,at the Ozark Funeral Home in Anderson, Mo.
