Funeral services for Mrs. Florence Ellen Lincecum, 69, were held at the West Athens Baptist Church Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock with the Reverend D.R. Cartlidge, pastor, presiding.
Mrs. Lincecum succumbed at her residence, 618 West Scott street. She had been a resident of Athens for 32 years.
Surviving are her father, F.E. Gordon, Palestine; two sons, Matson Lincecum, Athens and Clarence Lincecum, Trinidad; three daughters, Mrs. Mary Johansen, Goose Creek; Mrs. Catherine Kownslar, Goose Creek and Mrs. Frances Hulsted, Galveston; five sisters, Mrs. W.H. Hance, Baytown; Mrs. D.D. Hanks, Palestine; Mrs. E.F. Carroll, Fort Worth; Mrs. J. Hauteman, Dallas; Mrs. C.D. Evans, Athens; one step-sister, Mrs. R.B. Hallum, Athens; four brothers, W.W. Gordon and Neal Gordon, both of Athens; J.H. Gordon, Waco and Ed Gordon, Lubbock and two grandchildren.
Following the funeral service interment was held in the City cemetery with O.A. Johansen, D.D. Hanks, E.F. Carroll, L.C. Hulstead, C.E. Mahon and R.B. Mallum acting as pallbearers.
The Athens Funeral Home had charge of all arrangements.
