Wife and Child of C. B. Sorrell Die at Penton.
The Penton community was shocked early Tuesday morning by the deaths of Mrs. Odessa Sorrell and her little infant child. Mrs. Sorrell was well-known in Chambers County and had enjoyed most remarkable health throughout a well-spent life. She was forty-seven years of age at the time of her death and before her marriage to C. B. Sorrell was Odessa Sims, daughter of Joe and Augusta Sims. Mrs. Sorrell had many relatives and friends who were shocked by the sad news of her death. She was buried in Ebenezer Cemetery Wednesday morning at ten o'clock.

Several people from LaFayette attended the funeral of Mrs. Claude Sorrell and infant child at Ebenezer this morning.
[It appears that both mother and infant were buried together.]
