Frances Rankin Evans Caldwell, 91, formerly of Larrimore Lane, Danville, died October 21, 2008. She was the widow of Welsh Evans and Alvis "Hop" Caldwell. Born June 25, 1917 in Stanford, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Clarence Lee and Eva Alice Chrisman Rankin. She was retired from Cricketeer and a member of Centenary United Methodist Church. Survivors include: one brother, Clarence Lee (Ethel) Rankin of Stanford, one sister, Lucille Kirkpatrick of Moreland, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, George and Raymond Rankin and sisters, Elizabeth Greer, Margaret Edwards and Mildred Hester. A graveside service was held Friday, October 24, at 3:30 p. m. at Hillcrest Cemetery with Rev. Quentin Scholtz.
