Marion of Andrews will be held at noon Saturday, May 10, 2008, in Hobbs, N.M., at OXY Park. Mr. Marion died Thursday, May 1, 2008, at his home in Andrews.
Born in Big Spring to Margueritte and Randolph Marion, he served in the U.S. Navy and was later employed at Mare Island, Calif., and with Voice of America in Dixon, Calif. He retired from civil service and relocated to Andrews.
Survivors include his children, Jaime Giacomini of Santa Rosa, Calif., Mike Marion of Citrus Heights, Calif., and Cherie Lopez of San Ramon, Calif.; a brother, Leon Marion of Dayton; two sisters, LaVerne Newton of Hobbs, N.M., and Barbara Tadlock of Levelland; two grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
No formal services are planned. Relatives and friends are welcome to join. Casual attire is acceptable. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to a charitable organization of your choice.
