Highly Respected Woman Passes Away At Home Wednesday
Waynetown, April 3 - - Mrs. Stephen Utterback, well known resident of this city, died at her home here this morning. A paralytic stroke suffered eight weeks ago caused her death.
The deceased had lived in this county all of her life, being born near Elmdale sixty-five years ago. Her maiden name was Elizabeth McCoy. She was married on April 8, 1883 to Stephen Utterback. She was a member of th Center Christian Church.
She is survived by one son, Lester of Attica; four daughters, Mrs. Effie Phillips of Rossville, Ill., Mrs. Mayme Lowry, of near Waynetown and Mrs. Avery Merrill and Mrs. Ed Steele of Elmdale; one brother, William McCoy of Lincoln, Neb., and one sister, Mrs. Alice Faust of New Market.
Funeral services will be held at the home Friday afternoon at two o'clock with the Rev. E.F. Prevo in charge.
