John Lewis English

No greater sorrow falls to the lot of a community than the sad realization that one of its best citizens has been removed from its midst by death. This ordeal occurred in the Wren community last Sunday afternoon when John Lewis English, one of its best and most prominent citizens, died at his home in that village.

Perhaps no man who had ever lived in that neighborhood had more friends than Mr. English, and his death is greatly deplored by them as well as by numerous other friends scattered elsewhere in the county and state.

His remains were carried to Okolona and interred there Monday.

Mr. and Mrs. E.C. Kinney are in Aberdeen, Miss., where they are attending to funeral of Mr. English, who died at his home there recently.

Mr. English is the father of Mrs. Hamilton Kinney, who with her popular husband, Dr. Hamilton H. Kinney are so pleasantly remembered in Cullman, and many friends sympathize with her in her deep sorrow.
