MRS. REBECCA APPLEGATE
Funeral services of Mrs. Rebecca Applegate will take place this morning at 10 o'clock in Goulding, with interment at the Pine Barren cemetery. Pallbearers are asked to meet at 9;30 this morning, at Pou undertaking parlors.
Mrs. Applegate was 69 years old, illness for several years yet she has been able to be up and active until about two weeks ago, when she was taken seriously with heart trouble. She suffered so much that death came as a relief.
Mrs. Applegate leaves three sons and four daughters, her husband having preceded her to the grave by three years. Two of her sons, E.M. and G.R. Applegate live in the city. Her youngest L.L. Applegate, lives in Chipley, he being the only married son. The daughters are all married and are Mrs. G.D. Adcock of Goulding, Mrs. J.M. Fillingim and Mrs. W. L. Zachary, both of Pensacola, and Mrs. E.T. Davis of Tallahassee. Funeral services will be held from Mr. Adcock's about 11 a.m. The body will be interred at Pine Barren about 1 p.m.
Mrs. Applegate has lived all her life in Escambia county. She united with the Church of Christ some 25 years ago at Gonzales, Fla. Her funeral will be conducted by C.W. Landis, minister of the Alcaniz Street Church of Christ.
