Mrs. Erskine, the daughter of Thomas and Mattie Mims, died at Lake Park Nursing Home. She was a longtime resident of Waxahachie, attended Oak Lawn School, and operated Erskine Barbecue for many years.
On 16 May 1931, she married Delmer Erskine Sr. She was a member of the New Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
Survivors included 4 sons, one sister, two sisters-in-law, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins and other relatives and friends.
