Donald is survived by his wife of 56 years, Evelyn (nee Ward), Sons, Donald Jr (Susan), Thomas (Pamela), Stephen and Ted. Grandfather of Philip, Katy, Jeffery, Julie, Daniel, and the late Danielle.

He was the former owner of Melcher's Clover Farm Store. Retired from St. Joseph's Hospital as a Dietary supervisor. Donald was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in World War II receiving the Silver Star, Bronze Star, Purple Heart and the Combat Medical Badge.
