Double funeral services for Bill Eugene Oakes, 29, and his wife, Myrtle Annie Oakes, 22, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Friends Church. Rev. Francis Ross will officiate with interment in Alva Municipal Cemetery under the direction of Wharton Funeral Chapel. The couple was found dead at their home Monday. She was born on June 1, 1942 in Freedom to Joseph Daniel and Lois Vernelia (Wheat) Davidson. Survivors include her son, Terry Lynn Oakes; her parents of Alva; and her sisters, Geneva Janet Beasley of Fort Worth, Texas and Catherine Maude Terrel of Vici.
