Rev. Thomas Ault, 66, Dies at Home

The Rev. Thomas L. Ault, 66, former minister of Jonesville Christian church and supply pastor at churches in the local area for several years, died at 3 a.m. today at his home, 1834 South 31A, Garden City.

Rev. Ault was born in Ogilville, Dec. 21, 1896, to Willard and Margaret Merritt Ault and married Miss Cecile Boswell, March 9, 1940. He attended Columbus schools and Franklin college.

He served as minister of Jonesville Christian church nine years, retiring in 1959 due to ill health, and also was a supply pastor for many churches here. Rev. Ault worked for 18 years as a foreman at Arvin Industries, retiring from his job there in 1945. He was a member of Garden City Church of Christ, serving as elder and Sunday school teacher, and was a veteran of the first world war.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Barkes and Inlow funeral home by the Rev. Jack Prather, with burial at Daugherty cemetery. Persons may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Thursday.

Survivors are the wife, Mrs. Cecile Ault; a son, William L. Ault, and grandson, Robert Ault, both of Route 3. A grandson, Thomas Ault, preceded him in death.
