A Decatur 3 couple, only survivors of a
tragic automobile accident in Tennessee Saturday night, were in Baugh-Wiley
clinic this morning in serious condition.

Meanwhile funeral arrangements had
been completed for three members of their family group, including their three
year old son, that were killed in the accident.

The injured were members of a
family group returning from working in Kalamazoo, Mich. Saturday night as the
car approached Pulaski, Tenn, it missed a sharp curve and hit a telephone
pole.

D.C. McCaghren and his wife, in the back seat, were injured. The
driver, Joe Hershel McCaghren, 19, of Danville 3, driver of the car; and two
others, Billy McCaghren, three year old son of the injured; and Rubert Lee
Harris, 29, of Athens, brother of Mrs. McCaghren were killed
instantly.

Funeral services for Harris will be held today at 2:30 P.M. at
Bellview Church, with Rev. L.C. Hill officiating.

Interment will be in the
adjoining cemetery, with Brown directing.

Pallbearers will be Roland Bates,
Rudolph McCulloch, Avery Long, Ben Bates, Jewel Roberts, and Elmer
Gibson.

Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Evelyn Harris, Athens 8; one son,
Douglas Earl Harris; the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas L. Harris, Moulton 2; six
sisters, and three brothers.
