Violet M. Crosby, 84, New Salisbury, died Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2009, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany.
Born Aug. 4, 1925, in New Albany, she was the daughter of the late Charles E. and Theresa Adams Peyton.
She was a homemaker and a Methodist.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James J. Crosby, and stepfather, Howard Dyer.
Survivors include three daughters, Linda Jo Kelley of Jeffersonville, Sandra Crosby of Corydon and Diana S. Barr of New Salisbury; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
There will be no visitation or funeral.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the Never Too Late Organization, 8538 Tidewater Drive, Indianapolis, IN 46236.
