Jasper C. Archer Funeral Services Are Held Tuesday
Funeral services for Jasper Carroll Archer, retired employee of Gulf Mobile and Ohio Railroad, were held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday from Barry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. L. K. Foster of First Presbyterian Church, assisted by Rev. Tom Sheffield of the Becker Charge, Officiating. Burial followed in the Odd Fellows Cemetery.
Mr. Archer, who was 83, died about 2:15 a.m. Monday at his home here. He was born in Saltillo, Miss., and had made his home in Okolona since 1902.
He was the son of the late Dr. and Mrs. Peter Fields Archer.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Myrtle Heatherly Archer; two sons, J. C. Archer of Aberdeen and Clarence Archer of Irving, Texas; one daughter, Mr. W. W. (Minrose) Ramsauer of Houston, Texas; two step sons, Jimmy Griffin of Tupelo and Arnold Griffin of Jackson; and 13 grandchildren.
Barry Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.
