Vivian Blitch Kyte, 87, of Fairview, died Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2005, following a long illness. Born Nov. 23, 1917, in Minden Neb., Vivian was a daughter of the late Guy Blitch and Gertrude Blitch Wynne and step daughter of the late James Wynne. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Kennard H. Kyte, who died in 1984.

Vivian was retired from American Enka after 35 years of service. She and her husband were avid rockhounds and traveled extensively throughout the southwest collecting mineral specimens which they eventually processed for retail sale. Vivian also volunteered for 12 years at Hospice, providing support and encouragement to those in need.

Survivors include sister, Marjorie Branstetter; brother, Richard Wynne; nieces and nephews, Linda Anderson, Debra Wynne, Patrice Justice, Christy Branstetter, Rick Wynne, Dennis Wynne and Steve Branstetter; several great-nieces and great-nephews and her loving caregivers, Shirley and Bobby Creech.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
