Mrs. C. H. Gaines Dies.
Mrs. Blanche Gaines, nee Blanchard, died last Thursday, April 19 at 7:30 p.m. From peritonitis, after a brief illness, at the farm home two and a half miles southeast of Baxter. Funeral services were held at the home Sunday afternoon after which interment was made at Baxter cemetery. The deceased is survived by her husband and two children besides her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Blanchard, and many other relatives. An obituary notice will be published next week.

Mrs. Blanche Gaines (nee Blanchard), aged 29 years, entered into rest Thursday, April 19th, 1917, at 7:30 p.m., death being due to peritonitis. Deceased was seized with her last illness on Monday, April 16, her demise occurring at the farm home 2 ½ miles southeast of this city, where the family had but recently removed from the residence on Broadway.

Besides her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Blanchard, and a large number of sisters and brothers, the deceased leaves a husband, Charles H. Gaines, and two children, Gladys and William, age 12 and 9 years, and a large number of friends throughout this section to mourn her departure form this life.

Interment was made in the Baxter cemetery Sunday afternoon, April 22, after most beautiful services conducted at the home by the Rev. Parham. A long motor procession followed the remains to the last resting place near the city wherein deceased was born and spent her young life.
